SENSE - EPSOM SURREY

Scope of works
Spacelink Commercial Interiors Limited were chosen amid strong competition to fit-out the new regional offices for ‘sense’.

The new premises chosen by the management of sense is New Plan House in Epsom Surrey.
The programme was two weeks, to install the meeting rooms offices and kitchen facilities together with all the electrical requirements and the CAT-5 cabling.

Sense are a well known charity caring for the blind and profoundly deaf and as such the specification was designed to help the partially sighted by spraying different parts of the partitioning systems different colours e.g. corners and door frames.

To complete the look of the installation the full height double glazed panels were covered in a manifestation (film) with the 'sense' logo across the centre of each panel.
The contract was completed ahead of time enabling the staff to make a smooth transition between the old offices in Kingston Upon Thames and their new regional office.

IMPRESSIONS LTD - CHESSINGTON SURREY

Scope of works
Develop two large units into connecting units dismantling existing
Block walls, forming doorways etc through party wall.
Install two mezzanine floors. Fire rate to floors. Ceilings. Build offices and board room, kitchens to 1st floor.
Repro-areas had special strengthened floor to prevent vibration.
All flooring and electrical works together with air conditioning.

All works were completed on time within 8 weeks.

Case Study 3

ST JAMES PRIMARY SCHOOL

Scope of works
The mezzanine floor was constructed within a 'land locked' area, in the centre of the school with no access for lifting machinery or plant.

The large rectangular room was originally used as a library and small up to date 34 seat 'I T' classroom, but with its high ceilings the school wanted to make the most of the wasted space above them.

The brief was to construct a mezzanine floor with a brand new state of the art 'I T' class room to the underside with a new Staff Room, Tea Point and Marking Room on top.

Spacelink undertook the complete design and build element of constructing the Mezzanine Floor.

The ground floor works comprised ceilings, partitions, floor finishes, air conditioning, bespoke computer benching (for primary school children), decoration throughout, PIR lighting, power, data cabling and smoke detection.

The mezzanine floor comprised ceilings, partitions, floor finishes, air conditioning, installation of kitchen, plumbing, decoration throughout, PIR lighting, power, data cabling and smoke detection.

Great care was taken within the design of the area so as to ensure that all wasted space was utilised and used as storage areas.

Completion of the mezzanine and fit-out was on time and to budget resulting in a real benefit to staff and teachers, providing a clean, comfortable and modern staff room, kitchen and a quiet relaxing marking area.
