Bish! Bash! Bosch! Heating supplier to build new warehouse

One of the UK’s largest firms of heating suppliers is expanding its Worcester site, after planning permission was granted for a new warehouse.

Bosch Group will create the new warehouse, with flooring and offices, on an existing 6.7 acre site. Previously occupied by a technology company, it will have good access to Junction 6 on the M5.

The new facility will be located at Apex Park in Wainwright Road. It will also provide up to 170 car parking spaces for visitors and staff.

The move is intended to bring the distribution side of the firm together in one place, though it is unclear whether new positions will be created at this time. A spokesman for the company confirmed that its existing headquarters in Cotswold Way in Warndon will remain operational.

The customer services director at Bosch Thermotechnology, Shaun Mansbridge, went on to say:

“The move to new premises will further strengthen the brand’s presence in the area, whilst retaining jobs in the local community and promoting sustainable business development and manufacturing within Worcestershire as a whole.”

Talking about the granting of permission for the ‘extremely important’ local company’s development, local councillor Geoff Williams said:

“With what (Bosch Group) is bringing to the city we are not going to waiver our support for this.”

The council leader Adrian Gregson agreed, saying that the move shows the faith that Bosch has in the local community.

The cost of the project and the time line for the construction has not yet been confirmed.
